Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts artist who is a part of the UFC at the flyweight division,. She is a Kyrgyzstani. She's older than fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina continued her career by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003 and took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by the same decision. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches she won against Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee.
